15th March-24th May 2023: REBUNG Cancer Care in Primary Care Short Course
A ten-weeks short course for General Practitioners from PeKa B40 clinics within postcode area and MOH Klinik Kesihatan Kelana Jaya and Taman Medan that is conducted online via ECHO Zoom platform. Content was developed by REBUNG module development team. The positive outcomes include (i) 10 participants completed cohort 2022 (ii) 94 participants joined and 81 out of 94 completed cohort 2023 (iii) the improvement of scores by the participants (iv) >90% participants will change their practice in 2023 cohort
1st May-14th July 2023: UMMC Rebung Train the Trainer Community Nurse Competency Program for Women Cancer
The main objective is to enhance nurses’ competency in clinical breast examination and assist in navigating pathways for breast and cervical cancer early diagnosis in the community. A total of 14 nurses have participated. Of these, 8 nurses from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (Klinik Kesihatan Kelana Jaya-1, Hospital Shah Alam-2, Hospital Klang-1, Hospital Kuala Lumpur-1, Hospital Selayang-1, Hospital Sungai Buloh-1, and Hospital UiTM-1), 2 nurses from LPPKN (Klinik Nur Sejahtera Shah Alam) and 4 from UMMC.
24 June-22nd July 2023: REBUNG Ra.Kan Ku Community Navigator Training Course
A three sessions training course involving representatives from cancer and local NGOs i.e. NCSM, CORUM, KanWork, Pink Unity, SIBKL and SIBKL. The training modules include breast, colorectal, cervical, prostate, lung cancer, navigation and financial resources. In total, there were 20 NGOs representatives trained as Ra.Kan Ku.
