THE VISIT OF H.E. DR. ZAINAB SHINKAFI BAGUDU (CHAIRPERSON OF FIRST LADIES AGAINST CANCER, FLAC IN NIGERIA)

The visit of H.E Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu of Nigeria (https://zainabbagudu.com/), was to meet with our Malaysia UICC (Union for International Cancer Control) members at their respective offices. Dr Zainab was traveling to Malaysia on 5th to 6th September 2023 to attend the launch of the Global HPV Consortium (https://www.sabin.org/communities/the-global-hpv-consortium/the-global-hpv-consortium-launch-event/) at KLCC. The main objective of the visit was for networking and discussions with Malaysian UICC members. Her entourage was Dr Fatima Dambatta (Medical Coordinator) and Ms Hadiza A-Arome (Senior Program Manager) of Medicaid Cancer Foundation, Nigeria. The visit was organised with the tour to Paediatrics Oncology, and Breast Cancer Resource Centre in UMMC and Dato’ Panglima Kinta Eusoff Research Centre in Faculty of Medicine (FOM). After visiting UMMC and FOM, they were heading to ROSE Foundation.
